In the Contemplation series, I continue to recreate forms from classical Chinese art with material associated with industrial detritus and runaway consumerism. Instead of being an example of pure "natural" form, my scholar's rocks are made from heat blasted garbage bags and industrial resin, highlighting the conflicting relationship between man and the environment.
