Alluding to the financial whiz kids whose complex derivatives played a prominent role in the financial crisis of 2008, this stop motion film traces the origin of derivatives to the tulip bulb market of the 1700s. Like Frankenstein's monster, pride and ambition lead to a global road trip of destruction that take the Master from the geysers of Iceland, the suburbs of the US to the riots in Greece. Footage from Flickr and youtube were composited with stop motion of original sculpture and manipulated frame by frame to achieve a painterly effect.
